But back to learning how to get your quotes right. Back when I started my cleaning business, I like many of you had no idea how to price a job. Many times my problem was that I would price the jobs way to low. I made very little money, and boy the headaches were endless. It felt like everyday I would be dealing with new complaints from either clients complaining that something was missed, or my staff complaining that they were working very hard and needed a little more money.

I would have loved to pay a little more money but the problem was I didn't have the money to pay. That was my fault for pricing the jobs way to cheap. I wasn't using a cleaning estimate software. Then as I started pricing these new jobs, I felt like I was getting better at it, and it showed in my bottom line. I was making more money, my staff started getting paid more, and my customers magically all of a sudden started to complain less. Obviously this was because the people doing the work started getting paid much better, so the work became much better. This was all due to how I was pricing my jobs. So do your due diligence. The better and more accurate you price your jobs, means your customers will be more happy, your staff will do a much better job, and your bottom line will always be on the plus side.
